Sunrise to Sunset is the sister company of Burbank landmark quality food grocery store Handy Market at the corner of Magnolia Blvd. and Buena Vista St.
If you call Alan Arzoian of Sunrise to Sunset for your production catering needs please tell him how much you enjoyed their food spread at the RED user group meeting.

Kappa’s DI guru Igor Riđanović and Patrick F.X. Murphy – Head of Kappa’s VFX department (known for his work on Harry Potter, Batman, Avatar, Prometheus, and most recently Annoying Orange), presented Visual Effects Budget and Pre-Production Planning. We will post parts of the presentation on our YouTube channel soon.
RED is not a kid’s toy, but RED ONE and Scarlet are used on an immensely popular hybrid live action/animation children’s show Annoying Orange on Cartoon Network.
Kappa VFX artists who have helped the transition from YouTube to TV demonstrated how they composite complex shots using the RED, and what they do in Adobe CS6 to make Annoying Orange dominate its target demographic.
.
Our member Von Thomas, a DIT and a RED educator brought his full DIT cart to talk about the art and technology of his craft.
Von explained what a DIT does on-set, why most productions need a DIT and how they can afford one.

.
Cameras, cameras, cameras. As always there were a lot of RED ONEs, Scarlets and an Epic from The Camera Department at Kappa with helpful Scott Snare answering all RED related questions.
