Burbank, March 1, 2008: Kappa Studios, Inc. will host the first ever meeting of RED Los Angeles User Group at their facility in Burbank, California on March 15, 2008.

The Los Angeles area has the largest concentration of the RED ONE camera owners and operators who will have an opportunity to meet face to face and discuss the direction of the new user group.

“Many producers and directors we work with have been hearing about the RED digital camera but haven’t had a chance to see one yet. This event will provide an opportunity for the camera operators and producers to meet and discuss shooting on the RED,” says Paul Long of Kappa Studios, Inc.

Assimilate, Inc., OffHollywood Studios, ActionProducts and View Factor Studios will be showcasing their third party solutions and the RED camera accessories. Kappa Studios will demonstrate post production workflows using Final Cut Pro and Avid DS Nitris.

The RED ONE digital cinema camera system has generated a wave of interest in the entertainment industry due to its low cost and outstanding 4k image quality which is equal or better then the quality of traditional motion picture film. The first RED ONE cameras have started delivering in the last quarter of 2007.
