Burbank, February 22, 2008: Kappa Studios, Inc. has completed Hi-Def assembly and color correction on “Something New Begins” – an HD promo showcasing ABC’s returning line-up of prime time shows including Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Samantha Who?, Ugly Betty, Lost and others. Also featured prominently is the new ABC show “Oprah’s Big Give”. The spot debuts during the Academy Awards show on February 24th.

Kappa colorist/designer/editor Igor Ridanovic worked with the creative team from Storm Studios who produced the promo. Ridanovic said, “On this project we created a spot with a look and feel that was not only fresh but extremely classy.” The spot, which is part of the ABC Image Campaign, hooks into the “Spring is almost here” theme. With phrases such as “It’s been a long winter,” and “New drama, new laughs, new thrills and new shows take you to new heights” appear on-screen within the spot.
